Sub-committees

Empire State Association of Deaf (ESAD) is compromised into several working groups focusing on issues that impact on people with hearing loss (Deaf, Hard of Hearing, & Deaf-Blind) in New York State. Some of these committees are working on legislative-related efforts while others may be on policy-related efforts. Please consider in volunteer your time contributing the welfare of people with hearing loss in ensuring civil, linguistic, and access.

Education subcommittee addresses the concerns & issues concerning the language acquisition, early development, post-education, trainings, and much more for people with hearing loss (Deaf, Hard of Hearing, & Deaf-Blind) within the state of New York.

Senior subcommittee addresses the concerns & issues concerning services, access, programs, and much more for people with hearing loss (Deaf, Hard of Hearing, & Deaf-Blind) who are aged 55 years old or older within the state of New York.

Membership & Outreach subcommittee invests in membership growth, retention, outreach, programs, and much more for people with hearing loss (Deaf, Hard of Hearing, & Deaf-Blind) within the state of New York.

Legislative subcommittee focuses on the leigslature related issues concerning on civil, linguistic, access of people with hearing loss (Deaf, Hard of Hearing, & Deaf-Blind) within the state of New York.
