Steve has been a member for ESAD for over 15 years. He values in n preserving our Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deafblind communities in New York State. His envision within ESAD is to play a leading role in the creation of a statewide Commission for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deafblind that has a positive effect on systems change advocacy and service delivery.

Grew up in Spring Valley, NY, mainstreamed until sophomore year where I transferred to New York School for the Deaf – Fanwood. Earned Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Rochester Institute of Technology. Currently works as BOCES substitute teacher and teacher assistant at Westmere Elementary School Saratoga Springs, NY. Has a deep love for travel with family. Longing to dye her hair purple, but doesn’t have any guts to do it!

Is the current President of Buffalo Civic Association of the Deaf. He has been a member of ESAD since the early 2000's, and shows a big passionto fight for the rights for Deaf, DeafBlind and hard of hearing people.

Susan Snyder

Southwest Association of the Deaf (SWAD) Representative

Hails from St. Mary’s School for the Deaf, acquired a business diploma from NTID/RIT and associate degree in Visual Communication & Business Administration from American InterContinental University. An avid bowler who continues to play in leagues. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her 9 grandchildren.
